Brian Francis and Associates was formed in 1986 by its Managing Director bearing the founder's name. A Chartered Surveyor since 1974 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1986 and before setting up in private practice he pursued a Civil Service career for the previous 14 years culminating in his appointment as Director of Crown Lands of the Government of Gibraltar from 1982-1986.

The Company provides a multi-discipline professional service in surveys, valuation, estate agency and property management.

BFA Management headed by Yvonne Edmonds was formed in 1989 in order to provide a complete Management service at a time when Homeownership was barely understood.

The Company is arguably the largest property management specialist in Gibraltar and today manages a large number of private Residential Estates encompassing nearly 2000 individual apartments together with a number of Commercial Properties as well as a number of pre and post war Residential Properties.

In 1997, the company acquired the rental management portfolio of a local Estate Agent and currently manages the largest selection of rental properties on the Rock. More recently, the Company also acquired the Estate Management portfolio of Raphael M.Hassans- Estate Agents who specialise in the Management of pre and post-war commercial and Residential properties.

In the field of valuation, the firm provides its professional service to all the leading financial institutions and development companies in Gibraltar and international valuation firms such as Richard Ellis, FPD Savills, Healey Baker and Die Leung DTZ have on more than one occasion relied on the expert local knowledge of the company.
